I m in charge of planning the family trip to Las Vegas. I got the town covered. The only thing holding me up is a bus trip to the Grand Canyon. So far, I know I can to West Rim or the South Rim but I have no idea which is best and why. I m on the hook for this and need suggestions.
South Rim is part of Grand Canyon National Park. This is the best views of the canyon. It would be best if you could spend a couple of days in the park. Stay in one of the historic lodges united kingdom people search in the park or one of the motel outside the park entrance. Watch the sunrise and sunset over the canyon, spend some time hiking down into the canyon, go on a mule ride, take some time to enjoy the park.
we chose the south rim. it is a SUPER long trip. im not telling you just to tell you. I swear, i experienced myself. They even have a BATHROOM on the darn bus. But thank goodness you get to stop at like little places, like the IMAX theater movie, McDonalds and Hoover united kingdom people search Dam! but after all that stuff, it s like a long endless road but with nice scenery. But the view is beautiful united kingdom people search at the South rim!!!
The West Rim is home to the Grand Canyon Skywalk, the glass bridge that lets you walk 70 feet past the edge. Other side-trips you can add to bus tours include a helicopter ride to the bottom and a boat ride on the Colorado River.
South Rim tours include about 2+ hours at the rim, which is plenty as it lets you check out Mather Point, Yaki Point and more. Typically, your final stop will be Grand Canyon Village, which has some great restaurants and gift shops.
I run a Las Vegas based travel agency that s been doing business in town for over 15 years with individuals, groups and large conventions (up to 15,000+) what that means to you is we have connections united kingdom people search if you need them.
We are friends with the people who own/run these companies, because we book large convention groups with them and other services in the valley so, no bias different companies, different options, different pricing, etc.
You already know that the West Rim is a protected land because it was set aside by a Native Indian Tribe that is why is not part of the National Park System not because there is anything wrong with it. Most people coming from Vegas go there because it happens to be much closer to Vegas, so you get to save some time and visit an Indian reservation as well. Now, you also have the Skywalk option and a rather united kingdom people search calm (# 1 or 2?) water rafting experience there as well.
The other Plus or Minus of the West rim is the Skywalk. The PLUS is because it is the only place where you can walk out into the canyon and look down! Many people come from the other rims to experience it. The Minus is that they don t allow you to take your own camera onto the skywalk for pictures, you must wear booties over your shoes so you don t scratch the surface and you have to pay tourist photo prices for any pictures they take for you, or of you if you want a picture on /'from the Skywalk. You CAN take pictures from around it just not from on it.
*South Rim, is the next closest united kingdom people search and some of the tours are that much longer in total going/coming back but I think they shorten your time spent there to do it. Again Shop them yourself, once we send you all the links for shopping them and their deals.
Grand Canyon South is part of the National Park Service (NPS) and they have a little more shopping and a few other conveniences united kingdom people search including a free shuttle from one area to another within their zones there. Some people like one place s scenery more than anothers
