Welcome to June! We're nearly half-way through the month but it's not to late to celebrate this month's honoree! Meaning: we still have loads of time to recognize June's cruise ship of the month: Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Constellation !
Belonging to the Millennium class--comprised of Celebrity Millennium (2000), Celebrity Infinity (2001), and Celebrity Summit hotels paris france (2001)--she belongs to the day and age of great mid-size ships. Weighing in at 91,000 gross tons and stretching out for 965 feet, she's a standard size cruise ship. I was able to see one of her sisters, Celebrity Summit , while in Bermuda, and this ship class truly has a distinct and recognizable presence while in port. If YOU happen to see her on the high seas, be sure to wish her a belated birthday! She just turned ten years old on May 12th!
Sailing between the Old and New Worlds, you can catch Celebrity Constellation sailing to vivacious ports such as those in the Caribbean or places rich in history settling along the Mediterranean coast and even up into the Baltic region. She will even be doing a special two night Bahamas Cruise from Miami next January which I'd reccomend you try sailing if you'd like to get to know this ship and Celebrity Cruises a little better.
The amenities aboard her and her sisters inspired the design of the Solstice Class, and then the Solstice Class ships inspired greater enhancements to this ship and her sisters. It's cool how the design waves came full circle with Celebrity Cruises, and they're only getting started! Celebrity Constellation will be seeing brand new Aqua Class Staterooms in 2013!
