The d idgeridoos are calling out to all adventurers to come visit the land down under and Qantas is on it with a great 7-day package deal to Sydney. But just for a short time. Depart now and through September 21, 2012 so you don t have a lot of time to sit back and think about this one. The best fares are for round trip travel from Los Angeles but for $200 more you can fly from Dallas and for $300 more you can fly from New York. You will be staying at the The Menzies Hotel Sydney and your trip includes both a Sydney City Tour and a Sydney Harbor Cruise. There are also alternative hotels on offers for a bit more per person so have a look and select your favorite. Space is limited and this sale ends at midnight on September 12, 2012.
Much of the best art and music coming out of Australia is influenced by the aboriginal people and the d idgeridoo may be one of the most recognizable sounds of any native instrument. No one is absolutely certain but the first of these wind instruments dates back at least 1500 years and traditional d idgeridoos were made from eucalyptus logs that termites had already hollowed out. This and the boomerang are the 2 most popular souvenirs tourists bring back from their vacations but many of the d idgeridoos they bring back are cheap imitations. The best instruments are made from natural wood and while they aren t dependent on termites to hollow them out they are made from a single log. If you do want to bring one back just for show buy for looks but if you want to learn to play this marvelous instrument pay a bit more and find a real one. It makes a huge difference.
