Since I put those old pictures on my video titled Me visiting a cemetery, I have had several people e-mail me asking the name of the place and a bit about the town. The place is called Tolo. It is found on the mainland in southern Greece. Tolo is a small beach resort. It is located just south of the municipal town of Asini. I searched youtube and found some recent clips of the exact spot where we were wind surfing. If you compare the backgrounds of my pictures to the recent videos I found, you will notice they match perfectly. You can also see the clearness of the water and the sound of the waves hitting the beach exactly the way I remember it. The best part of this place is that it is so small and remote that it is not overcrowded with tourists. hotel rwanda review This place is very guest friendly. The locals who run the place are very friendly to visitors. The beach is covered in soft cool sand. Even under the water the ground is nothing but sand. I have been to countless beach resort towns in Greece and Tolo was one of my favourite places to swim, and wind surf.. There were some other beaches I went to that had unusual characteristics. Just to name some. A beach town called Atsros (on the mainland) was infested with sea urchins. A beach town in Santorini called Kamari had black ash on the beach instead of cool sand.
