I am Facebook hertz car rentals friends with the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, and today they announced an upcoming amenity that I am so excited about I have to share. The resort hosted us earlier hertz car rentals this year, and we ended up giving away at three night stay at the resort after our visit. You can read about the resort itself and the array of activities and amenities available at that resort . In case you don t have time for that, in a nutshell, we really loved the resort and very much hope to return there in the future especially since it isn t too far from home!
The only thing challenging about visiting that resort in the summer is that it is hot. The resort is actually hertz car rentals very well designed with shade all over the place, but during hertz car rentals the daytime hours, hertz car rentals most of our activities there would still center around water. They already have a lazy river, a man-made beach, adult pools, and an activity pool, but now they are stepping up their game even more!
We ll be the only Texas hotel to have a FlowRider® on property! Imagine a "barrel-less" hertz car rentals wave with 40,000 gallons of water being driven up at a rate of about 18,000 gallons per minute! Our FlowRider® allows you to surf standing up and it will be ready for you to enjoy Spring Break 2013.
In addition to the FlowRider® we are also adding a 22-foot tower slide! This is a fast slide where you go feet first on your back! It will be built next to the FlowRider®, where the playground hertz car rentals is currently located.
This whole area will be enhanced hertz car rentals with an expansive deck with lots of space for spectators and the FlowBar, a full-service bar serving up hand-crafted cocktails, locally brewed beers and grilled burgers, sandwiches and salads! The playground will be moved on the other side of the current Live Oak trees.
I know I should be excited for the kids (and I am), but truthfully I want a crack at the FlowRider myself! I love to see hotel properties making improvements to provide even better service and amenities for families. It makes using your points (or dollars) there even more valuable since you can be fully entertained without leaving the resort and having to spend even more money elsewhere. If you want to start planning now for a visit beginning in March 2013 when the slide and FlowRider are complete, then keep in mind this is a Category 5 Hyatt. That means it requires 18,000 points per night for a standard room. If you don t have enough Gold Passport points, remember you can transfer them in 1:1 from the Chase Ultimate Rewards program.
You could also use your two free nights from the Chase Hyatt Visa card at this property, but I would recommend checking rates before using points or free nights here. Rates during hertz car rentals non peak times can often be found in the $200 range, so you wouldn t be getting a tremendous value for your redemption when rates are low. However, during peak times rates go much higher, so it would then be wise to look into using your points or free nights!
I don t know if it is a pipe dream or not, but I have a mental goal for myself to stay at all of the Hyatt Resorts in the US over the next several years and this is exactly why. So many of them seem to really get what it takes to create a memorable family vacation. For us, hotels aren t always just a place to lay our heads at night, they are as much a part of the vacation as the destination itself. That said, anyone else excited about trying out the FlowRider?!
Would it make more sense to use 15,000 Hyatt points and stay at the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch in a 1-bedroom suite with a full kitchen? Guests at the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch get full access to the Hill Country resort (not the other way though) and its amenities. The Wild Oak Ranch also has its own lazy river and indoor/outdoor pool for the kids. If you haven t stayed there, you should look into it it is perfect for families (especially for folks like us with an easy drive from Houston).
@Matt, I love Lost Pines as well, but this addition is actually at Hill Country in San Antonio. It is pretty similar to Lost Pines, hertz car rentals so if you can make it a little further south you should check it out!
Flow Riders are awesome go for it! But don t give up if you don t get a good ride the first few times. Just like most sports you need to keep getting back on to get your chops. I m 50 year old mom of a tween and ride the flow rider repeatedly when we go to Great Wolf Lodge. hertz car rentals I get lots of kudos from the kids in line after I shred the wave!
