The Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) announced the Expedia Inc.'s recognition as Destination Campaign of the Year, an acknowledgement that highlights Cancun's efficient use of online marketing tools and creativity.
For the first time in many years, representatives from Expedia® Media Solutions, the advertising sales division of Expedia, recognized the achievements of the region's scotland travel packages most successful marketing campaigns. The winning campaigns were judged based on creativity, look and feel, and high levels of engagement with Expedia consumers.
Award Recipients from the Yucatan Region included: Cancun Convention Visitors Bureau for Destination Campaign of the Year, LIVE Aqua Cancun for Independent Hotel Campaign of the Year and AMResorts for Hotel Campaign of the Year. The Royal Cancun's Club International de Cancun also won Best TravelAds scotland travel packages Campaign for the Cancun area.
"For the Cancun CVB, it is a great honor to receive this recognition from Expedia Inc., the online travel agency that has revolutionized global hospitality marketing. This award encourages us to continue to constantly upgrade our marketing campaigns and to maximize the use of online tools to increase the destinations visibility," said Jesus Almaguer, Director General for the Cancun CVB. "We are also celebrating a record in visitor numbers this year and know that part of this success is due to new partnership strategies, like that implemented with Media Solutions."
Members of Expedia's Latin American market management team are in Cancun this week to attend the annual Cancun Travel Mart summit, one of the region's top industry events. Throughout scotland travel packages the week, Expedia executives will meet with local tourism and hospitality representatives to discuss strategies for promoting travel to the Mexican Caribbean.
